Anthony D'Amico
double bass
Originally from Long Island, New York, bassist Anthony D'Amico
is in demand as a freelance musician throughout the New England
area. He is a member of the Portland and Springfield Symphonies,
and the Rhode Island Philharmonic. He also serves as principal
bass of the Boston Philharmonic, the Boston Modern Orchestra
Project, and Opera Boston. Mr. D'Amico has performed with
the Boston Pops, Boston Ballet, and the Boston and Martha's
Vineyard Chamber Music Societies. During the summers he is
a participant in the Sebago-Long Lake Chamber Music Festival
of Maine. He is currently on faculty at the New England Conservatory
of Music Preparatory School. Mr. D'Amico is an alumnus of
the Hartt School of Music in Hartford and the New England
Conservatory of Music in Boston, where his teachers have included
Gary Karr, David Walter, and Todd Seeber.
