William Manley
percussion
Percussionist William Manley is a widely sought-after perfomer throughout New England, in a variety of musical settings ranging from symphonic to contemporary to pop. Mr. Manley has recorded with Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Berkshire Opera Company and the Catskill Klezmorim. Bill often performs with the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Portland Symphony Orchestra and occasionally with the Boston Philharmonic and Boston Landmarks Orchestra. Since 1998 he has been a member of the New Hampshire Music Festival where he has performed both their classical and pops shows. Feeling right at home underground, Mr. Manley has played with Opera Boston, Boston Lyric Opera, PortOpera and Glimmerglass Opera. He is also Principal Percussionist of the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. In addition to maintaining a studio of private students, Mr. Manley has entertained and enlightened thousands of children as a member of the percussion trio, New England Percussion Ensemble. He holds a BM from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music and a MM from University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music.
